About Lift

Welcome to Lift

A space that was once part of an old car repair garage dating back to the early 50’s has now been retrofitted into Lift, Therapeutic Massage. Lift is located just outside of the Indianapolis Mile Square in the thriving Historic Fletcher Place Neighborhood. We are dedicated to our clients’ health and well-being, whether you are an athlete, business professional, parent, young or otherwise, teacher, doctor, expecting mother, in the service industry or even a clown. That’s why we made sure that our licensed massage therapists are experienced professionals that are committed to lifting your spirit and boosting your health in a relaxed environment.

Lift is about simplicity, so we strive to create a peaceful and uplifting environment along with a little refreshing laughter. Owner Tasha Blackman has been a licensed massage therapist practicing Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy for over ten years. She knows how important massage can be for every type of individual and created Lift so that anyone can walk in and feel comfortable and relaxed. Lift offers therapeutic massage only, no spa treatments, nails or hair, just a simple selection of several massage modalities to fit your needs. Tasha Blackman

Owner of Lift Therapeutic Massage - PDMT, CMT

Tasha began her massage therapy career in 2002 after graduating from Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics. Her first position as a therapist was in her hometown of Logansport, Indiana, and it didn’t take long for Tasha to realize that massage was going to be her life’s work. She moved to Indianapolis in 2002 and worked briefly in Greenwood before settling in Broad Ripple at The Wellness Space where she has practiced for the past eight years. In early 2014, she came upon the opportunity to open her own business in the Historic Fletcher Place Neighborhood. Wanting to be closer to home in Fountain Square, she leapt at the chance and Lift, Therapeutic Massage was born.

Rebecca Townsend

CMT

A proud graduate of the nationally accredited Indiana College of Sports and Medical Massage, Rebecca loves to use massage as a tool to help her clients take a break from the world and invest some time in personal wellness. She aims for people to leave her Lift table feeling lighter, taller and more at peace than when they walk into the studio. As a lifelong soccer player (and longtime coach), Rebecca has a real-world understanding of how the power of a great massage can influence an athletic body’s capabilities.
